Stoneware. Tulip stamp motif. Ash glaze, with lots of heavy ash deposit melting into glossy green glaze.The surface has an incredible amount of action from the fire and the underside of the mug is equally stunning with the wadding marks.
Wood Fired to cone 12 (or hotter)
This piece is one of a kind, just like every item that comes out of the wood kiln. Even using the same making technique and glaze will have different results based on placement in the kiln. Nothing can really be duplicated.
