this mug is one of a kind, fired in the Gore Anagama wood fire kiln for 34 hours. this mug is totally unique due to the nature of wood firings. It's patina, caused by the fumes, flames and ash cannot be reproduced quite the same ever again.

This mug is slab built with porcelain, made with a soft slab of clay, cut and stamped and then shaped and assembled. The porcelain can take the high heat of the wood kiln and can go up to cone 12 easily. This mug was glazed with an ash glaze, made from fireplace ashes of beach and ash trees and feldspars. It has a soft green-yellow hue, with a ring of glassy green glaze that pooled around the foot of the ring. The underside has a nice tosty peach edge thanks to the kiss of the flame.

This mug is dishwasher and microwave safe. Lead free, food safe.
